God willing, over the course of the weekend we will spend our time together considering the overall theme of Fitly Framed Together (Ephesians 2:21) and how we can “consider one another to provoke unto love and good works”. We will start by laying a Scriptural foundation and the spiritual principles that inform both our individual and collective walk in Christ. Following this, we will participate in a very practical exercise to help us understand ourselves better as well as those around us in our ecclesia/family/community and how to work together more effectively in love and edification. In our third class, we will review what was shared through the Ecclesial Surveys that were completed and consider the many inputs and aspects of the ecclesial culture in Boston. We will also engage in a practical brainstorming activity to positively affect the ecclesial culture.
On Sunday, we will spend time during Sunday School and engage in action-planning to continue to build and enrich the ecclesial culture. Finally, to help us prepare our minds for the Memorial Service, our exhortation will be taken from the lives of Ezra and Nehemiah and draw parallels to their work in building up their ecclesia ~2,500 years ago.
