tonight x i wanted to look at the psalms and x think about x christ and what he would have been x considering x as he x looked at these psalms and as he went x through his ministry x and x it's interesting in uh first peter 1 x it tells us verse 10 x of which salvation the prophets have x inquired and searched diligently who x prophesied of the grace that should come x to you x searching what or what manner of time x the spirit of christ which was in them x did signify x when it testified beforehand the x sufferings of christ x and the glory that should follow x unto whom it was revealed that not unto x themselves but unto us they did minister x the things which are now reported unto x you by them that have preached the x gospel unto you x and i just think this is a really x interesting passage because it's x referring back as jim said in his prayer x how christ is really in every chapter of x the x of the bible and including uh the psalms x and that it's saying here that they were x written for us that the prophets x of old by god's grace wrote these things x down for us x and it was for our benefit and that's x what we hope to gain tonight is x uh x some benefit and to see how christ would x have also benefited x from x learning about x his his own creation how he was formed x in mary's womb x and uh x robert roberts has this to say in in the x extract from the atonement x in the psalms the sufferings of christ x are vividly manifest as well as the x glory that should follow those x sufferings are not to be confined to the x closing scene of his tribulation we must x consider how he felt and what he thought x in relation to his whole surroundings x this is abundantly afforded x in the in the psalms and we know christ x was uh x you know a like man like unto us and he x had all the same feelings that we had x and so as he came across these different x psalms x he would have contemplated these things x and what they meant for him and for his x life x and the immense job that that he had x before him x and we can turn to luke 22 x for really a vital aspect of christ as x he read the psalms and as he went x through his ministry x would have been the focus on prayer and x so in luke 22 39 x it tells us and he came out and went as x he was one to the mount of olives and x disciples also followed him x and when he was at the place he said x unto them pray that he entered not into x temptation x and he was withdrawn from them about a x stone's cast and kneeled down and prayed x saying x father if it if thou be willing remove x this cup from me nevertheless not my x will but thine be done x and from the very beginning x christ submitted himself to his father x and we're going to see that through the x psalms x and we're told in verse 33 and there x appeared an angel unto him from heaven x strengthening him x and being in agony he prayed more x earnestly and his sweat was as it were x great drops of blood falling down to the x ground x and these verses just really x give us x the intensity x that was on our savior and the pressure x that he was under x and how god sent an angel to strengthen x him and how god strengthened christ x really x uh x from his his x very conception x uh in mary's womb x so if we if we uh look at uh this is um x really fascinating psalm in psalm 139 x and i it certainly does apply to all of x us it applies to creation we know that x uh each of us is magnificently made uh x through god's creation the human body is x is really a marvel x and um x i work in a business where we implant x artificial pacemakers x in people when the x normal x pacemaker of the heart stops working and x i saw a patient today and he was asking x me some questions about x you know how the how a pacemaker works x and there was a nurse there as well and x she said x you know sir this this is replacing x the x normal x electrical impulses that your heart puts x out but as the heart gets older it stops x putting out those impulses x and it's just fascinating god created x electricity in our hearts so that it x beats x so many times a minute so that we can be x conscious and we can function and do all x these things and x through god's x mercy mankind has technology so that we x can prolong life through an artificial x means of a pacemaker x so we are all fearfully and wonderfully x made when we look at the eye and the ear x and the heart and just the function of x the body but x i think when we look at these verses x it's really x honing in on god's special x creation with christ and it says for x thou hast possessed x and and if we look at the hebrew there x and and you know kind of dissect it down x a little bit more it means to create x uh for thou has possessed my reigns and x that word reigns is the mind the x innermost aspects of a personality x thou hast covet or weave together me in x my mother's womb speaking of x of christ when he was uh when the holy x spirit moved upon mary x uh and it says um i will praise thee for x i am fearfully and wonderfully made or x distinguished christ was distinguished x above x above all men he was made marvelous x he was separate and distinguished are x thy works x and that my soul knoweth right well x christ would have read these words and x understood x uh what what his father did x for him x in x when christ was formed in in the womb x and so david is speaking here really the x words of messiah um a special act by god x in his spirit god's spirit overshadowed x the whole uh process of of christ's x miraculous uh birth and just this idea x of the reigns or the mind x we can look at psalms chapter 7 verse 9. x says oh let the wickedness of the wicked x come to an end but establish the just x for the righteous god trieth the hearts x and the rain so x christ would have been uh x as a special creation he would have god x would have worked on christ's mind he x would have been involved in this process x and uh it would have formed christ's x personality uh in the womb x uh as god guided every aspect of x christ's development in this idea of x being covered as it says here weaving x together it's an active process and x rotherham has x thou just weave me together in the womb x um and this is why christ could say x i am fearfully and wonderfully made or x and rotherham has there that fearfully x was x my being distinguished and we know there x was no one else like christ he was x distinguished from the rest of humanity x because god was his father and certainly x we we're all born of two human parents x so x um x we x we're in a in a condition where it's x really impossible for us not to sin x uh but in christ's case he had x uh x one human parent and so he inherited x all the problems of humanity x and a bias towards sin x and christ had that powerful force x within him that he got from his mother x mary x he had all the weaknesses that you and i x have x and so god had to provide his only x begotten son to overcome the problem of x sin and so christ would have inherited x qualities from mary and he also x inherited qualities from his father x um as we know christ was x god manifest x in the flesh if we look at x isaiah 63 x verse x 5. there was there was no way for a man x without the intervention of god to x overcome x uh sin and death and so it tells us in x uh isaiah 63 verse 5 x and i looked and there was none to help x and i wondered that there was none to x uphold therefore mine own arm x brought salvation unto me so god x intervened to provide salvation for x mankind and this was the process by x which he did it x we can look at samuel 7 verses 12 and x 13. x second samuel um 7 12 and 13. x and speaking of christ it says and when x thy days be fulfilled thou shalt sleep x with thy fathers i will set up thy seat x after thee which shall proceed out of x thy bowels and i will establish his x kingdom he shall build in house for my x name and i will establish the throne of x his kingdom forever i will be his father x and he will be my son x prophetically uh speaking forward uh to x christ x um and so christ would have inherited x wonderful traits uh from his father as x well um x and this this idea of substance my x substance or a frame or bone structure x was not hid from me when i was made in x secret and curiously wrought x or in into embroider by implication to x fabricate x and x this word substance is the same word x used in exodus and ezekiel as it relates x to the needlework of the hangings in the x garments of the tabernacle so god was x working intricately on the development x of his son in the womb of mary x overseeing every aspect x developing a special unique man who was x the son of god but also the son of adam x and this idea it says here um x thine eyes did see my substance so god x was actively x involved here yet being unperfect and in x thy book x all my members were written which in x continuance were fashioned x and so it's as if god was writing these x things down in a book this this x this um interaction he was having with x his son x uh in the womb and it's something we can x probably understand we x um x we have uh books for uh children that x jen put together where you know you x they're the first month the second month x and these different things that you know x you can feel the baby you know they're x kicking you can hear the heartbeat uh x and different things that go on you have x the the ultrasound that you put in the x book you can see the baby developing and x it's kind of the same aspect um that's x that's being implicated here that this x is what god was doing during this x process of of the development x uh of his son x and x you know it's brought out as well in x psalms 22 the outcome of this special x creation uh psalms 22 verse 10 i was x cast upon thee from the womb thou art my x god from my mother's belly speaking of x that process of the miraculous uh x begettal x of christ and christ would have seen x this this passage and he would have x known x uh how intricately his father was x involved in in in his development x if we look at luke here it says in the x angel said unto her fear not mary for x thou hast found favor with god x and behold thou shalt conceive in thy x womb and bring forth a son and shall x call his name jesus he shall be great x and shall be called the son of the x highest and the lord god shall give unto x him the throne of his father david x referring back to the psalm that we just x read there x and he shall reign or rather to second x samuel x and he shall reign x over the house of jacob forever and of x his kingdom there shall be no end then x said mary unto the angel how shall this x be seeing i know not a man x and the angel incidents it unto her x the x holy spirit shall come upon thee and the x power of the highest shall overshadow x thee x therefore also that holy thing which x shall be born of thee shall be called x the son of god x and this is referring back to the psalm x that we were just looking at with x christ being fearfully and wonderfully x made and intricately woven x um x in in this process x now this is why uh christ x knowing this process could say how x precious also are thy thoughts unto me x oh god how great is the sum of them x christ could say this because he was he x would be in awe of what god had done x and we know through this process in x isaiah 4 it tells us the lord god hath x given me the tongue of the learned x and and this would have been part of the x process in psalms 139 that i should know x how to speak a word in season to him x that is weary he awakeneth morning by x morning x and x god would have x been speaking to christ x personally every morning he waketh mine x ear to here is to learn the lord god x hath opened my ear and i was not x rebellious x neither turned away back and x that's what a special and wonderful x quality x that christ had he was never rebellious x against x what his father was asking him to do and x and we we all know that we cannot say x that about ourselves x uh we we are rebellious at times and x this is x this was part of the process that went x on uh in the development of of christ x god would speak to him morning by x morning wake christ up and the first x thing he would hear is his father's x voice x instructing him teaching x his son a lesson x uh day by day and christ grew x and grew in understanding because of x this and year after year christ would be x taught of his father x um x and x this is this is indicated to us in luke x chapter 2 verse 46 with christ x sparring with the best minds of his day x at 12 years old i mean if we if we think x back to our own x uh lives being 12 x um you know x and here's christ x he was able to do this x because of x uh god's involvement x in his life and it says um x and it came to pass that after three x days they found him in the temple x sitting in the midst of the doctors both x hearing them and asking questions and x all that heard him were astonished x at his understanding and answers and x when they saw him they were amazed and x he said unto them how is it that you x sought me wish ye not that i must be x about my father's business x and in verse 52 and jesus increased in x wisdom and stature in in favor with god x and man x and i i think we can appreciate that x even x the best of 12 year olds x of our day would would not really be in x a position to do this to be x people being amazed at his understanding x and answers this was all part of the x process x of god providing salvation providing a x special creation in christ for the x salvation x of mankind x and so this tells us something very uh x something very uh amazing x in x the success in divine begetto christ had x intellectual and moral ability and he x was very receptive to the word christ x was unique among men and he knew early x in life partly through reading these x psalms the purpose of his existence x it was constantly on his mind and god x would have instructed in him that x him in that day by day x god developed him in the in the womb x and we know that x this development uh in the timing of x christ's birth was prophesied so christ x would have looked at all of these things x and he would have been in awe x uh at how he was fearfully and wonderful x wonderfully made in x the job that that his father had for him x uh if we look at x um x isaiah 7 verse 14 x we have this uh wonderful uh statement x here therefore the lord himself shall x give you a sign behold a virgin shall x conceive and bear a son and shall call x his name emmanuel x or god with us butter and honey shall he x eat that he may that he may know how to x refuse the evil and choose the good and x that isn't that what christ did he x through the instruction of his father x knew how to refuse the evil and choose x the good and what a benefit for each one x of us that he did this so that salvation x is provided x through his life his death and his x resurrection jeremiah 23 tells us behold x the days come saith the lord that i will x raise x unto david a righteous branch x and a king shall reign and prosper and x shall execute judgment and justice in x the earth x in his days judah shall be saved x and israel shall dwell safely and this x is his name whereby he shall be called x the lord our righteousness x speaking back to these prophecies god x with us christ being a special creation x and dwelling among the people the lord x our righteousness x now it's very interesting when you look x at uh just this this one psalm here x because this is all contained uh in our x statement of faith x um in in clause uh eight it says that x these promises had reference to jesus x christ who was to be raised up in the x condemned line of abraham and david in x who though wearing their condemned x nature was to obtain a title to x resurrection x by perfect obedience and by dying x abrogate the law of condemnation for x himself x and all who should believe and obey him x and we just look at a couple of um x scriptures here x if we look at uh psalm 2 verse 6. x i don't don't want anybody getting x nervous with all these quotes here x in verse 6 psalm 2 verse 6 yet have i x set my king upon my holy hill of zion i x will declare the decree the lord hath x said unto me x thou art my son this day have i begotten x thee x ask for me and i shall give thee the x heathen for thine inheritance in the us x utmost parts of the earth for thy x possession speaking of christ ruling x being the son of god x um x and we can look at galatians 4 verse 4. x it says there but when the fullness of x the time was come x god sent forth his son x made of a woman made under the law to x redeem them that were under the law that x we might receive x the adoption of sons and so this idea x that christ would have understood that x he would be king of israel in the entire x world x and i really like this scripture here x because it speaks to x um x the wonderful hope we have through x belief in the gospel and our baptism x into it in revelation 1 x uh verse 18 x it says x i am he christ speaking x i am he that liveth and was dead x and behold i am alive forevermore x amen and have the keys of hell and of x death and so christ holds the keys to x the grave he can resurrect x he can x give immortality x and x he would have been thinking about these x things as as he read the psalms and it x goes on it to say that it was this x mission that necessitated the miraculous x begettal of christ of a human mother x enabling him to bear our condemnation x and at the same time to be a sinless x bearer thereof and therefore one who x could rise after suffering the death x required by the righteousness of god x and just a uh one scripture there in x hebrews 4 x verse x 13 x it says neither is there any creature x that is not manifest in his sight and so x we can see god overseeing the birth of x his son and his development but all x things are naked and open unto the eyes x of him with whom we have to do x seeing then that we have a great high x priest that has passed into the heavens x jesus the son of god let us hold fast x our profession but we have not in high x priests which cannot be touched with the x feelings of our infirmities but was in x all points tempted like as we are x yet without sin let us therefore come x boldly unto the throne of grace that we x may obtain mercy and find grace to help x in time of need so this is the wonderful x hope that we have we can come x before god boldly through christ who x overcame x sin and death and sits at the right hand x of god x immortal and so that being so begotten x of god and inhabited and used by god x through the indwelling of the holy x spirit x jesus was emmanuel god with us god x manifested in the flesh x yet was during his natural life of like x nature with mortal man being made of a x woman and of the house and lineage of x david and therefore a sufferer in the x days of his flesh from all the effects x that came by adam's transgression x including the death that passed upon all x men which he shared by partaking of x their physical nature x so christ was unique among men x and he defeated sin x and it was related to his miraculous x begettal in his special relationship x with the father x and so we just can marvel at these x things that what a wonderful god we have x and what a wonderful savior we have in x christ and it's so difficult for us to x always be in tune x with x um x what we know are our responsibilities in x the truth christ was constantly in tune x with his father and was always able to x cut off the motions of sin he never he x never gave in to them x uh and it just it speaks to the x wonderful hope that we have x in x um x that we we're not we don't have the x trinity uh we we understand god x manifestation as as outlined uh in these x verses and it's really wonderful to talk x to uh jewish individuals about this x about the god of israel x um you know though their eyes are closed x to christ being the messiah x they're very interested in our faith x because we believe in the promises to x abraham isaac and jacob x as well as the fact that we believe that x god is one and not three and they're x very um eager to talk to us about that x uh we can look at one scripture here in x uh hebrews 2 x uh verses 16 x through 18. x so it says in hebrews 2 verse 16 for x verily he took not on him x the nature of angels but he took on him x the seed of abraham wherefore in all x things it behooved him to be made like x unto his brethren that he might be a x merciful and faithful high priest in x things pertaining to god to make x reconciliation for the sins of the x people for in that he himself hath x suffered being tempted he is able to x sucker them that are tempted and this is x it's so uh x heartening x that this is our savior that he's x merciful and faithful he understands x what we go through in the frailties of x flesh x of this nature he understands the x challenges that we have and because of x that x he is just exceedingly merciful unto us x uh because of this uh realization x in looking at psalm 8 x this would have been uh prophetic x looking forward to christ in the saints x and as it says here oh lord our lord x how excellent is thy name in all the x earth and so x we we look at the earth today and and x god's name is certainly not excellent uh x it is x uh scorned in a lot of uh ways x and it says who has set thy glory x above the heavens x and that psalm ends the same way it says x oh lord our lord how excellent is thy x name in all the earth so this emphasis x on god's name being excellent x um in all the earth and this would have x encouraged christ x that he was going to see the result of x his faithfulness that his father's name x would be x uh x excellent x in the whole x throughout the whole earth and it should x be an encouragement to us as well that x as much as we see the despair that's x happening x uh whether it be in ukraine or x various places around the world we know x that a better day is coming we know that x there's going to be a righteous ruler x and that ultimately x god's name will x be x revered and excellent in all the earth x and in that same psalm it says x what is man that bow up mindful of him x in the son of man that thou visited him x for thou has made him a little lower x than the angels and has crowned him with x glory and honor x thou madest him x to have dominion over the works of thy x hands thou hast put all things under his x feet x and x god's name will be majestic in all the x earth and x uh this is quoted x uh in two places um x in the in the new testament this idea of x putting all things under x um x under christ's feet x that he would have been thinking about x this in um x when he read this read the psalms in x hebrews it tells us for unto the angels x hath he not put in subjection the world x to come x wherefore we speak so x this world when christ returns it it's x not going to be subject to the angels x that are now at christ's x uh x command x that's going to be turned over to christ x and to the saints and to us x uh lord willing x in the kingdom age it says but one in a x certain place testified saying speaking x of the psalms what is man that thou art x mindful of him or the son of man that x thou visited him x thou madest him a little lower than the x angels thou crowned us him with glory x and honor and it set him over the works x of thy hand so god's creation x christ is going to reign over the x entirety of god's creation x at his return thou has put all things in x subjection under his feet for in that he x put all in subjection unto him x he left nothing that is not put unto him x but now we see not yet all things put x unto him but we see jesus who was made a x little lower than the angels for the x suffering of death x crowned with glory and honor that he by x the grace of god should taste death for x every man x for it became him for whom are all x things and by whom are all things in x bringing many sons unto glory to make x the captain of their salvation perfect x through suffering and x the x writer of the hebrews is looking back at x the psalms seeing these things x prophetically talking about christ and x it would have been a wonderful x motivation to them at the time x that x there is a better day coming when god's x name will be excellent x uh in all the earth x and x if we look at the first corinthians it x relates to psalms 8 verse 1 and verse 9 x as well then come at the end this idea x of putting all enemies under the feet x it's quoted again then come at the end x when he shall have delivered up the x kingdom to god even the father when he x shall have put down all rule and x authority and power for he must reign x till he hath put all enemies under his x feet x speaking of ultimately at the end of the x kingdom age when sin and death will be x destroyed and the earth will be x inhabited by immortals only the last x enemy that shall be destroyed is death x for he hath put all things under his x feet x but when he saith all things are put x unto him it is manifest that he is x accepted which did put all things unto x him and when all things shall be subdued x unto him then shall the son also himself x be subject unto him that put all things x unto him that god that god may be all in x all x and this is x really all contained in this one verse x in psalms 8 oh lord our lord how x excellent is thy name x in all the earth who has set thy glory x above the heavens and x this is what christ would have been x thinking about uh reading these psalms x and and going through his ministry and x understanding the work he had before him x and what it would result in resulted x it's resulting in the salvation of all x of us in this class tonight in in x providing salvation through the to the x entire world x in verse 2 x in psalms 8 it says out of the mouth of x babes and nursing infants you have x obtained ordained strength because of x your enemies that you may silence the x enemy or sin in the avenger death you x know we know that the wages of sin is x death and christ uh is going to x ultimately do away with that he he did x away with it um x in his own in his own self first x and then ultimately in our bodies at his x return x and so it tells us in um x first corinthians 15 verse 24 but now x christ is risen from the dead and has x become the first fruits of those who x have fallen asleep christ is the first x one x of this creation to receive immortality x he's the first fruits but since by man x came death by man also came the x resurrection of the dead x all die in adam but all are made alive x in christ but each one in its own order x christ the firstfruits afterwards those x who are christ at his coming speaking of x us x then come at the end when he delivers x the kingdom to god the father when he x puts an end to all rule in all authority x and power x and again this reference x back to the psalms for he must reign x here until he hath put x all x enemies under his feet the last enemy x that will be destroyed is death x and just a wonderful x uh x uh allusion x uh forward uh to the kingdom x uh in verse eight in in um verse six of x psalm eight thou madest him to have x dominion or rule x over the works of his hands that was put x all things under his feet x uh x and it's it speaks in samuel 23 verses 1 x through 4. now these be the last words x of david david the son of jesse said and x the man who was raised up on high the x anointed of the god of jacob and the x sweet psalmist of israel said the spirit x of the lord spake by me and his word was x in my tongue the god of israel the rock x of israel spake to me he that ruleth x over men must be just ruling in the fear x of god speaking of the kingdom age and x the righteous rule that christ is going x to deliver to this world x and he shall be as the light x of the morning when the sun riseth even x a morning without clouds as the tender x grass springing out of the earth by x clear shining rain that that cleansing x of the earth by the water of the word x and x this is all contained in the psalms and x as christ would be reading these things x he would he would realize himself x as having dominion or rule over x uh the creation x zechariah as well talks about uh about x this and speak unto him saying x behold the men whose name is the branch x of christ and he shall grow up out of x his place then he shall build the temple x of the lord even he shall build the x temple of the lord and he shall bear the x glory and shall sit and rule upon his x throne x and he shall be a priest unto his throne x and the council of peace shall be x between them both x all the ends of the world shall remember x and turn unto the lord and all the x kindreds of the nation shall worship him x for the kingdom is the lord's and he is x the governor among the nations x so x christ again x reading these psalms x the kingdom is the lord's and he is x governor x among all the nations and we know that x christ is a x a wonderful counselor x it speaks of of his glory uh in the x kingdom and what a wonderful ruler he'll x be we can look at x let's see isaiah 9 here x uh nine verse two uh the people that x walked in darkness have seen a great x light they that dwell on the land of the x shadow of death upon them hath the light x shine so christ in his first advent was x a light and he's going to be a light to x this entire world in his second advent x and uh speaking of his rulership for x unto us in verse x six for unto us a child is born uh in x that same chapter of isaiah nine for x unto us a child is born unto us a son is x given x in the government x shall be upon his shoulders and his name x shall be called wonderful counsellor the x mighty god the everlasting father the x prince of peace x of the increase of his government in x peace there shall be no end upon the x throne of david and upon his kingdom to x order it and to establish it with the x judgment in with justice from henceforth x even forever the zeal of the lord of x hosts will perform this x this is just such an encouragement x to the righteous rulership of christ x that we can appreciate knowing these x things x imagine x the billions of people in this earth who x are not even looking for this right now x but when it comes x to this earth they're going to be in awe x of x how christ provides for all of their x needs and that's why year by year x every person will go up to jerusalem to x worship they will they will long to have x a leader like this in the in the earth x and christ knew and he knows that he is x going to be this x this wonderful leader x psalm 110 x the lord said unto my lord sit thou at x my right hand until i make thine enemies x thy footstool and this is one of the x most quoted old testament scriptures in x the new testament x and it speaks to x christ reigning forever and needing to x be resurrected to be given x to be given immortality x we can look at x uh one scripture here in ephesians 1 x verse 17. x according to the working of his mighty x power which he wrought in christ when he x raised him from the dead so not only x god's mighty power when christ was in x the womb when he also raised him from x the dead and set him at his own right x hand in the heavenly places far above x all principality and power and might and x dominion and every name that is named x not only in this world but also in that x which is to come and hath put all things x under his feet x back to uh the previous psalm that we x looked at and gave to him to be head x over all things to the ecclesia which is x his body the fullness of them x that filleth all in all x and in x the psalm here for thou will not leave x my soul in hell neither will thy thou x suffer thy holy one to see corruption x thou wilt show me the path of life x in thy presence is joy fullness of joy x at thy right hand there are pleasures x forevermore christ would have read this x psalm and understood that he would be x resurrected that he wasn't going to stay x in the grave that he was going to x uh accomplish his mission through the x help of his father and through his x perseverance x uh in his life and he wouldn't see x corruption uh and x there are pleasures x forever more not only for christ x but x the hope x is the same for all of us x let's see here we're getting uh close to x um running out of time x let's see x this uh just some interesting psalms x here as it relates to x judas x in acts 1 x we are told x verse 16 x men and brethren this scripture must x needs have been fulfilled which the holy x spirit by the mouth of david x spake concerning judas which was guide x to them that took jesus but he was x numbered with us and had obtained part x of this ministry now this man purchased x a field speaking of judas with the x reward of iniquity and falling headlong x he burst asunder in the midst x for it is written in the book of psalms x let this habit let his habitation be x desolate and let no man dwell therein x and his bishopric let another take x and this is um x this is straight uh out of the psalms in x psalms 41 x yea my own familiar friend whom i x trusted x which did eat of my bread hath lifted up x his heel against me judas was at the x last supper uh he was the treasurer he x was he held the bag christ relied on him x and prayed for judas um x and christ knowing all along that he x would be betrayed by a familiar friend x and it's interesting you know betrayal x uh x it can be very difficult to deal with x and christ dealt with that through x prayer it says but thou o lord be x merciful unto me and raise me up that i x may requite them x by this i know that thou favorest me x because thy enemy doth mine enemy doth x not triumph over me x and x it goes on to say and as for me thou x upholdeth me in mine integrity and x setteth me before thy face forever this x idea of life everlasting blessed be the x lord god of israel from everlasting to x everlasting amen amen x and john makes mention uh or it's made x mention in john 13 x i speak not of you all i know whom i x have chosen but that the scripture may x be fulfilled he that eateth bread x quoting back to the psalms he that he x hath bred with me hath lifted up his x heel against me now i tell you before it x come that when it come to pass x ye may believe that i am he x um x so christ was well aware of this from x the psalms that one of his disciples was x going to x betray him x and we can just close with x this x psalm 31 here x really just a wonderful x assam here x and x christ's final words on the cross x are quoted here x see here x psalm 31 x uh just reading a few verses from that x in the o lord do i put my trust let me x never be ashamed deliver me in thy x righteousness x uh but i trust in the lord i will be x glad and rejoice in thy mercy and these x are all principles that we x should rest upon we we need mercy we x need to trust in the lord we know that x we will be delivered x uh x in verse 9 have mercy upon me o lord for x i am in trouble x uh christ he x he felt these things uh in in his life x he had an incredible pressure upon him i x was a reproach among all mine enemies x but i trusted in the o lord i said thou x out my god my times are in thine hand x and x christ knew this his father was x controlling all things x just as our times are in x god's hands and x all things happen x at the right time and and so whether it x be we're praying or waiting for x something to happen waiting for the x return of christ as we see these x signs of the times increasing x god has a timetable and it's different x from what we might like and christ x understood that that all things x my times are in x thy hand x uh he says make thy face to shine upon x thy servant save me for thy mercy sake x but if we look at psalm 31 verse 5 x in luke 23 where christ x quoted from from this psalm x and when christ and when jesus had cried x with a loud voice he said father into x thy hands i commend my spirit x and having thus said x he gave up the spirit x and it's it's interesting if we look at x psalm 31 verse 5 where this is quoted x from x into thine hand i commit my spirit x it says that was the final words of x christ x and so it's been suggested that the x first words that christ spoke when he x was resurrected x was x the finishing of that sentence x thou hast redeemed me x o lord god of truth x so as we consider x christ in the psalms and the wonderful x hope that we have the wonderful strength x that christ x gained from the psalms may we x in our day-to-day x consider the psalms in all of the x scriptures and x be built up in the faith that we have be x strengthened strengthen one another x and recognize that x god's name very soon x will be excellent in all the earth and x we will have a wonderful x righteous ruler x who will have wisdom and honor x and who will rule x in fairness and equity and justice x so we can end the air and uh open things x up for any thoughts comments um x thank you
